NEWS: EV Jobs Coming to Tennessee… a Republican Base State!

The factory in the picture is a new EV fast charger plant just opened in deep red Tennessee by Tritium, an Australian company that closed its factory in Australia to build a much larger plant in the U.S. (It’s located in Lebanon, Tennessee to be exact, near the old Hartmann luggage factory which closed down and sent its jobs overseas (I’ll miss the old Hartmann factory store there; used to buy great stuff cheap when I lived in Nashville during Lamar! ‘96.)). This allowed Tritium to consolidate its global manufacturing operations, creating hundreds of new manufacturing jobs here in America.

Now these new EV jobs have come to Lebanon and local Republicans could not be happier. Tritium high-power EV charging equipment made here will be sold not only in America but exported around the world. And that is not even the biggest EV manufacturing project in Tennessee. VW has a huge plant there making the ID4 and South Korea’s LG Chem just announced a new $3 billion EV battery plant being built in Clarksville, TN. It’ll likely be the biggest EV battery plant in America.
