Congress Just Took A Step Toward Killing The $7,500 EV Tax Credit

Today the House Ways and Means released what many have been waiting for, the “One, Big, Beautiful Bill”. Find language for the proposal attached.

Although expected and feared by many in the industry, this proposal would axe the consumer subsidy for most vehicles by the next year.

As noted in this great breakdown by Inside EVs, this proposal will have to clear many more hurdles before it becomes law including passing the Senate, which won’t serve as a rubber stamp for this House leglislation.
